You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit.
I came to paint this tree as I attempted to write down an unexpected prophetic word which I received for a friend. I could but only describe the image I beheld, a life of lavishly giving and receiving in abundance.
This tree abides in another world, the trunk is strong and sold, although weathered from life’s storms its thick veins of golden love flow freely through its entire being, starting from the depth of its roots winding through to the very tips of its branches.
The intense blue roots of the tree reflect its reliance it’s to draw from the source of life, with immense girth they bury themselves deep into the vastness of the life-sustaining river, richly drawing up from the great depth, its wisdom and love nourishes every branch, every leaf and nurtures each precious piece of fruit. This fruit that remains.
For this tree’s strong branches are saturated with lush leaves, in such density that all who come are fully restored under its bountiful shade. Nourishment is also richly provided, not a single branch is void of fruit, and every branch has its own abundant supply.
This tree is strong and established, weathered through time, many come and find shade, many come and are fed, others come to rest, all are cared and restored. Its branches reach in all directions, busy with much fruit, but filled with love and life giving hope.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit.
This tree is filled with love and grace, and throughout its life has done and continues to bear much fruit.
A friend I can follow.
