The Unseen
February 01, 2022

May I say, we live in two worlds. The seen and the Unseen.

The seen is all around us, confronting us on every angle. Bombarding us with visual evidence of its wanton truth in a physical realm. Desiring us to yield unconditionally to its delicacies of delight.

But what are these seen delicacies of delight? One may think of wonderous pleasures to the senses, but I submit they may simply be yielding to what our eyes choose to see.

It takes no strength to drink in what is spoken or seen. The eyes see and the ear hears, with speed the unchecked mind runs to a threefold agreement with the seen. Alas this swift unison of the senses can bring delight to the flesh, a sweet morsel of deception -believing the seen, with no thought of the Unseen.

The Unseen? How can one see the Unseen? This mystery of belief and trust, that fights against the seen.  Yet, all powerful, it reigns forever supreme.

The Unseen flows all around us, and if we permit, flows within us. Its power is immeasurable, love unsearchable – The Unseen has no borders except our will.

The ancients of old spoke of the Unseen, its great power over the realm of the seen.

Victories incalculable line the pages of history, crying out to the world of the seen, a world entrapped by senses.

The Unseen needs no such delights of senses to entice one, as His greatness lies in Himself alone.

Before creation the Unseen was, the seen bows low at His very command.

See and hear the glory of the Unseen around you, for He changes not ….

Quiet yourself today as you hear Jahaziel declare…

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.”

Feel Moses’s response

“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.”

And see the unseen as you grasp what Elisha prayed,

“O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!” The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.”

The Unseen flows all around us, and if we permit, flows within us. His power is immeasurable, His love unsearchable –

To live is to believe and see the Unseen in a world surrounded by the seen.

And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. Women received back their dead, raised to life again.

Heb 11:32

This mystery of the ages.

Isaiah 11:1 Then a shoot will spring forth …

The unseen IS….  He is I AM …   and will forever be.
